COLLECTING MUSHROOMS IN THE MULLERTHAL REGION
28.10.2008. On the 25th October a mushroom collect had been organized in The Mullerthal Region – Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland – during which the participants were surprised to find a big variety of mushrooms in the region.
During the walk, expert François Weber explained the characteristics on the more than 20 different kinds.
After this interesting walk on part of the Mullerthal Trail in the woods around Beaufort, the participants arrived in Restaurant l’Ernz Noire in Grundhof and were agreeably surprised that chef David Albert had prepared a delicious menu for them composed by local mushrooms and tasty fish with seafood.
The mushroom collect had been organized by Julien Kremer from « Konschthaus A Frantzen » in Heiderscheid (www.konschthaus.lu), a small culture center in the North of the country, organizing interesting courses throughout the year. As a nice “side effect” of the mushroom collect, the participants also discovered part of the landscape of beautiful Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland.
