Start into the new hiking season 2017

On Sunday 7 May, the Mullerthal Trail Season Opening will launch the new hiking season in Bech. The participants can expect a day full of activity and fun in nature. Even though the hiking trails in the Mullerthal Region – Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland are accessible all year round, you should not miss this event.

The event starts at 10 a.m. with three guided hikes leading from various localities in the region to Bech:

Scheidgen-Bech, 6,6 km, departure at „Vereinshaus“ next to the church in Scheidgen.

Mullerthal-Bech, 11,3 km, departure at the parking lot of Heringer Millen in Mullerthal.

Echternach-Bech, 15 km, departure at the parking lot next to the bus station in Echternach.

The first hikers will arrive around 12 o’clock at Becher Gare in Bech where they will enjoy a programme with various animations.

Next to the opening of the new restaurant „Becher Gare“ there will be a micro brewery with „Echternach Beer“. A new playground accessible to all waits for the children who may as well participate in nature workshops or enjoy the games of the Spillmobil of „Superdreckskëscht“ or jump on a bouncy castle. More attractions will be available as well. A guided tour on geology will take place during the afternoon. The children’s parents will enjoy the offered range of regional products as well as the exposition « Metalscrapes & Landscapes ». The local associations of Bech will provide food and beverage and regional information stands will give you information about the touristic and natural highlights of the region.  

In order to ensure that the participants of the hikes will return save and sound to their cars or starting point, a shuttle service will be offered after 1 p.m. If you register in advance with the Regional Tourist Office of the Mullerthal Region, you will enable us a better organization of the buses.

The whole hiking offer, the shuttle buses as well as the animations are free.
