Departure: Rosport, Parking next to the Sûre
From the parking, you will walk next to the Sûre river towards the dam wall. In the turn before the dam wall, walk R 7 leads you into the woods. The path leads through a beech forest and then over mossy rock formations. You continue up to the rocks where you will find yourself in the world of the “white lady” whom you can hear singing in clear moonlit night.
You continue walking up towards a crest and a little pavilion from where you can overlook the Sûre valley.
In small serpentine lines, the path leads us up to vineyard terraces which are still partly cultivated nowadays. The Mediterranean climate on this south side called “Hoelt” is favourable to wine growing. In the vineyard terraces which are no longer cultivated you can see dry grass which bears flourishing orchids during spring.
You continue the on field path through the vineyards and then turn right to get back to the crest again. You turn left on a superb meadow which gives you a nice view on the Sûre valley.
We cross the road, the pass the “Wingerstkreuz” to get back to the parking.
